Chassis changes for Land Rovers
Here at L.R-Refurb we carry out many chassis changes throughout the year all with lots of good feedback and repeat customers. With every job we always carry out a pre-inspection to make sure the customer is fully aware of any problems we feel may need addressing during the chassis change.
A few examples of this are:
- The rear tub mounting points commonly corrode and this would require additional repair works.
- It is also common for the fuel tanks to split on the seems this more for the earlier Defenders & Series with steel fuel tanks. This would not be a problems on TD5 and newer vehicles due to the tanks being changed for plastic.
These are just a couple of the most common problems we find. Your vehicle may not require either of these repairs but this is why we always carrier out a pre-inspection.

Labour to fit complete clutch kit: £60 + Vat
(We advise to have a replacement clutch fitted at this point if you are unsure when the clutch was replaced due to the low cost labour to change at this point this could save you hundreds in the future)
Labour to fit replacement springs and shocks:
Labour fit complete bush kit - standard or poly: POA
Labour to change timing belt: POA
Front galvanised shock turrets: £70=00 ( Pair )
Labour to change brakes: (this would be priced once we have carried out our pre inspection)
Prices quoted above are labour only and do not include any parts. We are more than happy for you to supply your own parts if you wish
If all the above parts are in good condition and we agree are reusable you will not require these additional works.
There is no hidden cost the prices quoted above are the prices you will pay.
